Will it be a Friday release in NewsX ?

Apologies for the excruciatingly bad pun in the headline, it won over popular choices like Freaky Friday at NewsX and First Day First Show at NewsX. I’m sure there are people out there bemoaning the complete loss of my headline writing skills. To them, I wish I could show the comments I moderate.

I keep thinking English has been killed, buried and forgotten on a desert island when I’m forced to read the drivel that my posts about NewsX elicit. My response is the same: I don’t have time for personal attacks, especially personal attacks in poor English.

Anyhoo, to the news peg of this post — rumors are afloat again of an impending announcement of a succesful sale. The day being bandied about: Friday, the 9th of January, 2009 (9 - 1 - 9). Now, if I were the superstitious sort, I’m sure I’d find something interesting about the date. But, my interest in numbers runs to the mathematical, and that’s a nice, symmetric, pattern. Hmmm …
