Here’s are my top five music blogs to find great, new music — and yes, you can listen to the music they’re talking about at all these places.
- Obscure Sound: I’ve found some absolutely fabulous bands here, Fleet Foxes comes to mind immediately — I would not have found the band if not for this guy. Great place to find bands that haven’t hit the super big time yet.
- Zeon’s Music Blog:Another great blog, run by a guy with an interesting taste in music.
- My Crazy Music Blog: Lots of cool picks. But you have to find the music amongst all the news about upcoming gigs etc in the SF bay area.
- Samreth’s Blog:He writes about a lot of stuff, but I like his taste in music and have been finding good tunes there ever since he started the blog.
- The Hype Machine:The motherlode! This site tracks music blogs of all flavours and bubbles up songs that are getting a lot of play. Great place to hang out, and also a cool way to find individual blogs to follow.
