I was checking my blog stats today morning and noticed that a lot of traffic over the last few days has been coming from Amit Agarwal’s website: labnol.org.
Clicking on the link I found that Amit’s set up a list of the best Indian blogs, and my blog was a featured blog. Pretty cool, even if I do say so myself. Thanks, Amit.

Heh heh, that’s me in an older, younger, well made up avatar, hosting a show that did quite well during its run on CNN IBN. The reporter is Sangeeta Sarma, easily one of the finest people I’ve worked with in TV. She now lives in the US and writes about food.
The show was an interesting experience: I continue to believe that technology reporting on television has become an excuse for these long winded advertisements of gadgets. Week after week, for half an hour, various shows will talk about the latest phone. Not all of the reviews are positive, but that’s all that they have to report on.
Our experiment revolved around reporting on the impact that technology, in all its facets, has on real people. So we talked about casual games, the sort most of us play at miniclip. And we spoke about rural tech, a series of stories about India’s innovators produced for us by Mati Sahib, an old DD hand. We talked about how you could use your computer better, and in more interesting ways. And stories about man’s attemts to explore space and the deep seas. We did stories about climate change and meteorite showers. And we did gadget reviews.
