Drip drip, drip drip …
It seems to me that a lot of people nowadays equate life with a leaky faucet. Time, they believe, is running out. And no matter how hard they try they can’t fix the tap. You see, they don’t have the time. So they go about their lives, doing things as quickly as possible, at the back of their minds they are always aware of the leaky faucet. And when they try to sleep at night, their dreams are interrupted, usually by thoughts of the leaky faucet.
There is a bunch who are content with floating along. To them, time is a river. And like most rivers, it can be swift or sluggish. Ensconced in little life rafts or luxurious yachts, they gaze at the banks without any great longing to explore any further.
Then there are the confused few. Undecided about most things in life, uncertain of what they are supposed to do, but sure about their need to explore, you can find them getting out of their boats and wading around. Some even take a day off to fix the faucet. What they do best however is forget about the faucet and the river and disappear into the jungle to explore.
That’s genius.
cheers,
Naren
